Item consists of a black and white photograph of Mary Kavanagh with her daughter, Mary Byerley (left), relatives of alumnus Aubrey DeVere Turquand, who died in World War I standing with Director of Alumni David Smith (class of 1953) (right). In the centre, a plaque is featured on the Memorial Classroom Building to honour those from Appleby College who died in World War I. This event was described in The Appleby Quarterly (April 1994, vol. 15, no. 3).

Item consists of four students standing outside the front entrance to a World War 1 dug out built on campus. Note on verso: "Sunday afternoon at the WWI dugouts, stored with firewood and if possible pork and beans".

Item consists of a black and white panoramic photograph of the students attending Appleby College for the 1931 school year. A few of the students have the old Appleby School crest on their blazers. A few of the school buildings can be seen in the background including the Chapel.
