It includes articles about Cadets, gymnastics, Sports Day, Closing Day, the Chapel, the death of Sir Edmund Walker - the co-founder of the school (oversized encapsulation), Track and Field, a fire at Appleby during the 1930's, the death of Samuel Clarke, the hanging of the new Canadian flag on campus, 55th anniversary of Appleby College, the retirement of Headmaster Dr. J.A.M. Bell, football, rugby, various guest speakers to the school.

Sub-series also includes an article by Wilder Breckenridge about what it was like at the school when it first opened in 1911; articles about the Diamond Jubilee celebrations and the building campaign including a new hospital and library; the introduction of girls from St. Mildred's Lightbourn School participating in the school plays at Appleby beginning in 1971; and what is like at a private school. File also consists of the invitations for attending the annual sports day and prizegiving ceremony. These invitations often list the guest of honour who is presenting the awards to students.

File also consists of a field measurement log book which belonged to David "Digger Smith". There are also final scorebooks/ledger books for each of the events. In the 1980-1988 ledger book are also programmes for the years between 1982 and 1988.

Series consist of an assortment of Walker family material related to their time attending or governing at Appleby School (now College), which was acquired and collocated by Wentworth. Material includes drama programs, prize lists, crest, and a gymnastic trophy from Alastair Walker (class of 1924) schooldays, older brother to Wentworth. Series also contains correspondence related to the Sir Edmund Walker Memorial chapel window, as well as correspondence directed to Wentworth’s father Ewart Buchan Walker from Appleby and the Appleby School Fathers’ Association.

There is also correspondence with a concerned parent in the 1990 file, which is restricted.

Item consists of a trophy presented by Peel Music Festival for Boys Choir Unchanged voices. Awarded in 1919 - 1921.

The Boy’s Choir – Unchanged voices trophy from the Peel Music Festival was first awarded to Appleby College in 1950. The choir would also win the trophy in 1951 and 1952. Led by choirmaster Mr. Lesley Bott, the choir would go on to win other awards at the Peel Music Festival, including the top school choir in 1952.

The Archives collection holds a photograph (see AC01_0916) of three students holding the trophy in 1950-1951.

The trophy as it stands today is on the wrong base. At some point in the past, the trophy was removed from the base as seen in the photograph and placed on the base it is now on, which has the wrong dates.

E. G. Beardmore Trophy

Item consists of the E.G. Beardmore Trophy for the best Sergeant in the Cadet Corps, presented by E.G. Beardmore. This award was affiliated with the Appleby College Cadet Corps #440.

E. Gordon Beardmore attended Appleby College from 1934 to 1940. He was a prefect in 1939; played rugby, cricket, hockey and was also on the gym team. He was also Captain of the Cadet Corps in 1939-1940. During World War 2 he served as a Lieutenant and by 1959 was a Major of the Royal Regiment of Canada.

Item consists of 'The Kerrigan Cup' or Appleby School Rifle - Shooting Championship presented by James E. Kerrigan, Esq, London, ONT, 1918. The trophy lists the year and the award winner. No competition was held between 1922 and 1926.

This award was most likely associated with the Appleby College Cadet Corps #440.

Item consists of the Northwood School Invitational Hockey Tournament Trophy for the Girls Division Champions. The Appleby College Girls Hockey Team Competed in this tournament since 2013 and won the tournament in Winter 2019. The tournament is held in Lake Placid, USA.
