The picture brochure includes School House (now Colley House), classrooms, science room, reading room, dining hall, dorm room, gymnasium, a map of the school grounds, gym class performing Swedish Drill, ball court and outside of gymnasium, cricket field, students riding horses and standing near the barn, rowing on the creek, the cow stable, the creek and the harbour.
The Prospectus brochure also includes photographs of the temporary residence (McCraney House), the hospital or infirmary, the science laboratory building, Headmaster's residence, the Lodge - Faculty residence, playing fields, the hockey rink, and the 1913 Prefects. It discusses the barn fire in November 1913 and the plans for construction of new barn, stables and separate gymnasium building. The brochure also discusses "Mr. Powell's House", the temporary dormitory located in the McCraney House across the street from the school.

A.M. Cunningham, Hamilton, Ont.The Turquand Cup for Boxing was given in memory of Aubrey de Vere Arnold Turquand who was the first Appleby Old Boy to give his life in World War 1. This prized trophy was awarded to the heavyweight champion during the annual boxing tournament.

The first winner of the Cup was J.S. Scully, who also took home a smaller cup to remember the occasion (see June 1916 Argus).
