File consists of a January 1970 copy and original of a proposal for an Arts and Science Building at Appleby College. The proposal included an auditorium, a music practice area, art studios, photographic processing area, a library and science laboratories. Parts of this proposal were used in the construction of the Resource and Science Building, now the Barr Commons area.
File consists of a proposal from the Performing and Visual Arts Department for new classroom space. The proposal was submitted to the Classroom Building Focus Committee and discusses the need for the following spaces: multi-purpose studio, printmaking studio, sculpture/pottery studio, computer graphic/art history studio, darkroom, galley/presentation space, storage room, office space, new music rehearsal rooms, recording studio, drama studio and dance studio.
