These files include Appleby School application forms, health records, letters between the school and parents regarding school fees, letters to Mr. Guest from students and employees enlisted and serving their country during World War 1. It also includes letters to Mr. Guest from parents and relatives of these individuals. The files are as follows: Aubrey Turquand, John Magee, Geoffrey Machell, Alex Gillespie, William Crawley, Sinclair Adams, Gordon King, Harward Chaffey, Osbert Calverley, Frank Griffin, John Laird, Andrew MacLean, Donald Macdonald, Vernon Powell, H.P.             Series also includes copies of military files of students and employees who served. These files were printed from records available on Library and Archives Canada's website of World War 1 personnel.

            Sub-series consists of the records of The Appleby Old Boys' Association and the Appleby College Alumni Association.

            Though the first annual dinner was held in 1916, it was not until 1920 that The Old Boys' Association was formed when Old Boys G.W.S. Adams, T.G. Heaton, A.L. Ambrose, R.E. Haas, A.D. MacLean and A.H. Gillespie met to officially form the organization. As a result of coeducation, the name of the organization was changed to The Appleby College Alumni Association effective September 1, 1991.

            Sub-series consists of the following files: Constating Documents, Minutes, Financial Records, Correspondence, Alumni Directory, Class Agent Manual, Annual & Reunion Dinner, Alumni Events, Branding/Crest/Letterhead, Awards and Recognition, Publications.

            Series consists of a scrapbook of Appleby College material compiled by Bill Sefton. It includes correspondence from the Alumni Association about various fundraising initiatives, invitations to Alumni events, including the 50 year club, greeting cards, a report card from Easter 1932, John Bell Chapel service programs, correspondence with other alumni, Appleby College Old Boys Association membership cards, newspaper clippings about Hilda Chattaway include photographs of her grave and a letter explaining how to find the grave, invitation to the official opening of Colley House in 1990, newspaper clippings about Appleby events including the visit from Prince Andrew, the 1991 Tour of Appleby College choir to Europe, an article written by Bill about how he got his first job in 1937 at Loblaws and his career there. The scrapbook also includes 45 photographs (PH01-0135 - PH01-0178) of Appleby College and people associated with Appleby.

            Item is a photograph portrait of who is believed to be Old Boy General George W. Robinson. George was born on Dec. 7, 1907 and died on June 11, 1971. He attended Appleby from 1919 to 1927. He was appointed to the Appleby Board of Governors on Oct. 30, 1947. His son George William (Billy) Robinson also attended Appleby.

The 1943 newsletter details many Old Boys and their military status during World War Two. The 1947 newsletter providing information on The Building Campaign, The memorial window in The Chapel dedicated in memory to J. William Weis. It also includes personal updates for many Old Boys.

Note on verso: "New vans from Old Boys - Appleby College is the proud lessee of two new General Motors vans from two of its Old Boys. Tim Haines '63 (left) and Carl Ansingh '67 (far right), owners of two GM dealerships in Listowel and St. Thomas respectively, presented the vans to Director of Alumni Relations David Smith '53 and Headmaster Guy McLean. The blue vans will primarily be used for transporting boys to and from sports and other School events. The Appleby crest will be painted on to each van shortly."             Item consists of a colour photograph of the Old Boys' Hockey team at the Early Bird Hockey Tournament hosted by Lakefield College School. Note on verso: "Old Boys compete in Early Bird Hockey Tournament - Our Old Boys' Hockey team accepted an invitation to join six other ISAA alumni teams in a two-day tournament hosted by Lakefield College School in early November. Coordinator Paul Sustronk '81 somehow managed to assemble the following Old Boys at the ungodly hour of 8:30 a.m. for an opening game against the Lakefield B team: Bill Beasley '77; Tom Lytle and Lang Moffat '78; Donald Green and Graham Stuart '79; Gordon Moffat, Pat Bates and Rick Withey '82; John Charron '83; Mark Barr '84; and Greg Sikora '87. Our results were Appleby 4, Lakefield B 1; St. Andrew's (the eventually winners) 8, Appleby 1; Lakefield A 4, Appleby 3. Good fun and camaraderie prevailed throughout.             File consists of records pertaining to the Pigskin Revival dinner held in 1992 to commemorate the Appleby College football teams from 1959 - 1969. The theme was 'Blue Grit' as these were some of the most successful football teams the school had ever had. The file includes correspondence, a commemorate booklet about each team and contact lists for alumni.

            File includes copies of a large poster: 'Blue Grit" football from 1959-1969, listing all the players for those years and includes a picture of a football team.

            File also includes scans of boards created by alumni Richard MacFarlane '73 which were used during the Fall 2023 50th Anniversary reunion dinner. The boards show what Appleby life was like during Richard's time at Appleby as well as some boards dedicated to his career.
