Item consists of a digital file of The Appleby Hound student newspaper. This issue discusses the COVID19 pandemic, a comparison between the pandemic and the World Wars and Appleby alumni who lost their lives in World War 2, there is a piece of fiction written by a student, information about The Mask Project to provide supplies to hospitals and those in need; the COVID pandemic on indigenous peoples of Canada. There is also a movie review, as well as an article about economics, and finishes with some student artwork.

It also includes an article about Alumni Brianne Jenner '09 who was on Team Canada Women's Hockey Team. There is also an article about various Alumni who have become teachers including Michael DesRoches '62. It also includes an article about Appleby's historic link to Town of Oakville founder Colonel William Chisholm.

Item consists of a black and white photograph of Mary Kavanagh with her daughter, Mary Byerley (left), relatives of alumnus Aubrey DeVere Turquand, who died in World War I standing with Director of Alumni David Smith (class of 1953) (right). In the centre, a plaque is featured on the Memorial Classroom Building to honour those from Appleby College who died in World War I. This event was described in The Appleby Quarterly (April 1994, vol. 15, no. 3).

The 1943 newsletter details many Old Boys and their military status during World War Two. The 1947 newsletter providing information on The Building Campaign, The memorial window in The Chapel dedicated in memory to J. William Weis. It also includes personal updates for many Old Boys.

It also includes letters after his death, a subscription list for the Turquand Tablet and information about the tablet, his application form for Appleby School and correspondence regarding fees and payment for his time at Appleby School.

File also includes a silk embroidered Christmas postcard (December 1915) from Aubrey Turquand to Mrs. Guest.

Sub-series consists of a ledger book with an early written record describing the establishment of the school from 1911 to 1915, including when the following buildings were constructed: the School House (now Colley House), Headmaster's House, the hospital (infirmary), the chemical laboratory, ice rink and opening of Second House (Powell's House), when McCraney Farm leased. It records the fire of the original gym and stable and the building of the new barn and gym. It also lists when the school opened and the names of the original teachers, staff and students. It records when staff and faculty resigned and when students left the school. It lists the names and dates of the Appleby Dramatic Club productions. It records the first Prizegiving Ceremony and Sports Day and the establishment of the Cadet Corps. It also records when faculty, staff, students and alumni signed up for military positions during the start of World War I. Finally, it records the purchase of the new billiard table for School House by Sir Edmund Walker.

There is a single page towards the back of the ledger with lists the names of students who are in the school picture taken Apr. 29, 1919. It also includes the city where they are from and their nickname or preferred name.

Fonds consists of four series; education of Wentworth’s schooldays at Appleby, Old Boys’ Association, correspondence and the Walker Family series, which consist of family heritage pieces related to Appleby College. Of note is a child’s table and chair set that was made by Appleby’s founder and Wentworth’s uncle, John Guest.

Fonds consists of material pertaining to Raymond's portrayal of Abraham Lincoln on stage and film and includes photographs of Abraham Lincoln, sketches of Raymond as Lincoln, framed playbill on the night of Lincoln's assassination, framed Republican national ticket for President Lincoln, TV Guide awards for Raymond's performance in Tyger, Tyger and Dr. Kildare, and correspondence.

Fonds also consists of the Raymond Massey Rare Book Collection which he bequeathed along with the rest of the items in the fonds.
