Fonds consists of four series; education of Wentworth’s schooldays at Appleby, Old Boys’ Association, correspondence and the Walker Family series, which consist of family heritage pieces related to Appleby College. Of note is a child’s table and chair set that was made by Appleby’s founder and Wentworth’s uncle, John Guest.

Series consist of an assortment of Walker family material related to their time attending or governing at Appleby School (now College), which was acquired and collocated by Wentworth. Material includes drama programs, prize lists, crest, and a gymnastic trophy from Alastair Walker (class of 1924) schooldays, older brother to Wentworth. Series also contains correspondence related to the Sir Edmund Walker Memorial chapel window, as well as correspondence directed to Wentworth’s father Ewart Buchan Walker from Appleby and the Appleby School Fathers’ Association.

Item consists of the W.R. Wright Memorial Challenge Cup for tennis. Front of trophy reads: Appleby School logo / W. H. Wright, Memorial / Challenge Cup. Back of trophy reads: Presented by / Mrs. H.P. Wright / March, 1918.

Given in memory of William "Billy" Richard Wright who was the second Appleby Old Boy to give his life during the Great War. Billy was an original student at Appleby and Head Prefect in his final year. He died on May 13, 1917 at the age of 19.

First name inscribed on trophy reads: "1922 P.R.S. walsham (S) - from School House. According to the December 1918 Argus yearbook, the first winner of the trophy was C.E.N. Kaulbach.

File consists of records pertaining to Aubrey de V.A. Turquand's time at Appleby School as a student as well as his letters to Mr. Guest after he had enlisted to participate in World War 1 (one). It also includes letters after his death, a subscription list for the Turquand Tablet and information about the tablet, his application form for Appleby School and correspondence regarding fees and payment for his time at Appleby School.

File also includes a silk embroidered Christmas postcard (December 1915) from Aubrey Turquand to Mrs. Guest.

File consists of records pertaining to the Appleby School Travel Club and specifically the trip taken to Europe in 1932. The group travelled to Great Britain, France, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland between July and August 1932. On the tour they went to many World War 1 memorials and battle sites. The file includes the programme, itinerary and a published booklet by John H. Osler describing the trip. The booklet is called Seeing Europe: An account of the Appleby School Travel Club Tour of 1932.
