During the War years, The Argus printed letters sent in from alumni fighting overseas as well as producing brief obituaries for these men who died.

With the creation of the Appleby Quarterly in 1968, The Argus became an annual yearbook for current students and covers events happening during that school year.

File consists of architectural drawings for the renovation of the E.V. Brown house / Alumni House in 1988 - 1989 to turn it into offices for admissions and development/advancement as well as alumni relations.

File consists of records pertaining to alumni and faculty member William David Russell "Digger" Smith and includes a birthday card created by the students in Powell's House in 1976, his funeral service programme, a special commemorative brochure about his life created by Appleby College as well as the Fall 2005 Appleby Quarterly, which contains an article about him.

File consists of correspondence pertaining to William Richard Wright's time as student at Appleby School, as well as letters to Mr. Guest after he enlisted to participate in World War 1 (one). There are also several letters written after the end of The War.

File consists of correspondence between Headmaster Mr. Guest and employee, Edith Grindlay. Edith was hired in 1911 to be both school nurse and school matron, and was one of the original employees when the school opened. Correspondence includes reference letters and her acceptance letter; letters regarding purchasing initial supplies and setting up the dormitories, kitchen and infirmary in the original School House (later Colley House) in 1911. Later letters include which supplies to order for the new Headmaster's house and the hospital, which were built in 1913. Supplies that are discussed include curtains, bedding, linens, flooring, paint, and dishes. There is also correspondence about Edith learning to type on a typewriter, canning supplies and canning the fruit on the property, as well as where to purchase and how much food should be purchased.

During World War 1 there is correspondence about rationing and the rising cost of food, as well as brief mentions of alumni who had gone off to war, including Massey, Crawley and Powell.

There is quite a lot of correspondence about the hiring and salary of female domestic staff including kitchen and dormitory cleaning staff. There is also some mention of the men on the Facilities team and the work they should be doing as well as some of their personal problems, including drinking.

There is also quite a lot of correspondence about supply orders and payments, with several receipts from Eatons, Singer Sewing Machine Company and others.

Throughout the letters there are brief mentions of early staff members including Mr. Colley, Mr. Powell and Mr. Whittington.

Edith worked for Appleby from 1911 until she was married in October 1920. She did come back to work for a short period of time in 1924 and there is one letter, possibly from her 1924 return which outlines what she will try to accomplish.

Sub-series consists of the Appleby Quarterly magazine, a newsletter for alumni, staff and parents. It was first published in October 1968. It reports on events happening at the school as well as provides alumni updates.

File consists of architectural drawings for the Computer Lounge which also includes the electrical and mechanical drawings. The Computer Lounge or computer centre was located in what is now the Guidance area in Barr Commons' area.

File consists of biographical material and correspondence pertaining to Appleby College Headmaster Percival Wickens. The correspondence relates to obtaining photographs for his portrait, along with a sample of his signature.

File consists of the publication "Incite: An anthology of creative writing from Independent Schools of Ontario", a literary magazine of stories and poems of which Appleby College is a part of.

File consists of biographical material on Appleby College co-founder and first Board of Governors Chairman Sir Edmund Byron Walker. The booklets "Sir Edmund Walker Print Collector" and "Sir Edmund Walker Scholarships" are included, as is a copy of his personal book plate and several printed photographs.

The ledger starts in 1911 when Rugby, Hockey and Cricket were played at the school. It lists Head Prefects for some years, along with the results of the Annual Sports Day events. For some years it also lists who the winner was for various trophies and sports awards. Some years also list the results of Inter-house competitions, as well as who were the leaders in the Cadets.

There are also extra-curricular events listed such as dances and Old Boy's or alumni events, public speaking contests, the dates of school plays, Cadet inspection dates, Women's Association events, holidays and examination dates.

File consists of the Remembrance Day service programs. The Bulletins provide the order of service including hymns and readings. Some programs list the Roll of Honour listing students and faculty who gave their lives during World War 1 and World War 2, while other programs list students in the dramatic art class that are part of the dramatic skit for the service. File also includes a larger Honour Roll document listing the men who gave their lives during World War 2.

File consists of a small set of architectural drawings for the sleeping cabins at the Northern Campus on Lake Temagami. It includes the floor plan, exterior elevations and the storage cabin sections.

File consists of the Founders Week service programs. The Bulletins provide the order of service including hymns and readings. Founders Week is celebrated in the days leading up to Homecoming and students learn about Appleby's history through in-class events and activities.

File consists of four Appleby College prize lists for June 1932, June 1933, June 1934 and June 1935. Willard Dillion (W.D.) Walker is a prize winner all four years.

File consists of a travel diary written by Brad Brown during his trip to England as part of the Appleby College Coronation Choir as well as his trip to the Near East with fellow student Bill Green and his family. He talks about life on the ship during their travel to England, singing and touring various sites in England as well as sightseeing in Beirut, Jerusalem and Barcelona. Brad later wrote an article for the June 1954 Argus Yearbook about his Near east trip. It can be found on page 56.

File consists of correspondence between Wentworth Walker and the Appleby College Old Boys Association. It includes correspondence and brochures on the planned new gymnasium and swimming pool, the 1947 Building Campaign for the Memorial Building, scholarship fundraising and other Appleby College fundraising campaigns.

File consists of 5 loose scrapbook pages pertaining to Brad Brown's life as a student at Appleby College. It contains letters home, a report card from 1950 (restricted until 2050), a music recital program from 1952 and a certificate of confirmation from 1953.

File consists of Christmas and season greeting cards given out by Appleby College. It also includes original artwork created by students to be used as the cover image of the cards.

File consists of the Appleby College publication Appleby College News and The Inukshuk. The publication was originally known as The Whippet and changed its name to Appleby College News in Sept. 2000. The publication changed its name again to The Inukshuk in October 2002 for issue number 77. The publication reports on events and stories happening around campus, including graduating class news.

It lists the reunion class years that are being honoured at Homecoming and the 2001 service program also includes information on the dedication of the original Appleby School Bell.
