The first movie includes images of the students onboard the SS Empress of Australia heading toward England. The second video consists of the students in England watching the Coronation parade and visiting sites in England. A third video of students during Sports Day at Appleby is included in the digital version (AV-15).
File consists of a travel diary written by Brad Brown during his trip to England as part of the Appleby College Coronation Choir as well as his trip to the Near East with fellow student Bill Green and his family. He talks about life on the ship during their travel to England, singing and touring various sites in England as well as sightseeing in Beirut, Jerusalem and Barcelona. Brad later wrote an article for the June 1954 Argus Yearbook about his Near east trip. It can be found on page 56.
