            File consists of a ledger book which lists students on each sport team and the results of the games played by the teams. The ledger starts in 1911 when Rugby, Hockey and Cricket were played at the school. It lists Head Prefects for some years, along with the results of the Annual Sports Day events. For some years it also lists who the winner was for various trophies and sports awards. Some years also list the results of Inter-house competitions, as well as who were the leaders in the Cadets.

            Fonds consists of a photograph scrapbook from original Appleby student Ford Stuart Strathy, and photographs of Alastair's time as a student at Appleby. Both give a pictorial history of the early decades at Appleby and capture teachers and staff from Vernon Harcourt de Butts Powell, Headmaster John Guest, T.B. Colley, E.W. Whittington, Same Clarke, Mr. Adams and Miss Bird, as well as Appleby students, and the campus.

            Item consists of the 1916-1917 Appleby School Prospectus brochure. It includes photographs of School House (now Colley House), the sports fields, McCraney House, dormitories, dining hall, classrooms, reading room, science laboratory, gymnasium, Swedish Drill, hockey rink, cadet corps, Sports Day, the creek, cricket, 1st Cricket Team and 2nd Cricket team, The Lodge - Faculty residence, the cow stable, and the harbour. It also includes a panoramic of the entire school grounds.

            The brochure also discusses the new science laboratory, the hospital, the new gymnasium built in January 1915, Powell's House, the farm, courses of study, religious instruction, sports, rules and regulations, fee structure, uniform and dress code as well as an application form.

            Sub-series consists of newspaper clippings about Appleby College and is divided into decades. It includes articles about Cadets, gymnastics, Sports Day, Closing Day, the Chapel, the death of Sir Edmund Walker - the co-founder of the school (oversized encapsulation), Track and Field, a fire at Appleby during the 1930's, the death of Samuel Clarke, the hanging of the new Canadian flag on campus, 55th anniversary of Appleby College, the retirement of Headmaster Dr. J.A.M. Bell, football, rugby, various guest speakers to the school.

            Sub-series also includes an article by Wilder Breckenridge about what it was like at the school when it first opened in 1911; articles about the Diamond Jubilee celebrations and the building campaign including a new hospital and library; the introduction of girls from St. Mildred's Lightbourn School participating in the school plays at Appleby beginning in 1971; and what is like at a private school.             Item consists of the 1919 Appleby School Prospectus brochure. The brochure includes photographs of the School House (now Colley House), the front of the school from the entrance showing the orchard and part of the gymnasium building, the new Powell's House residence - both front and back views, dorm rooms, the dining hall, the classrooms, the reading room, Billard table and reading room in Powell's House, science laboratory, gymnasium, panoramic view of the sports fields with the barn and School House off to the left side, the hockey rink, cadets, Sports Day, cricket and the 1st and 2nd Cricket Teams, another panoramic view of the sports fields including the School House and Headmaster's House, and the creek.

            The brochure discusses the new Powell's House residence, built in 1918 after the late Major V.H. De Butts Powell. It also mentions the Isolation Hospiital and the infirmary, the science laboratory, and gymnasium buildings. There is also information on fees, dress code and uniforms as well as an application form.
